Glebe Hill Village x Beacon Foundation

During the past week, our CEO Scott Spanton, and Greg Thompson had the privilege of presenting to a some of the Year 10 students from Bayview Secondary College. First they had a comprehensive tour of our Glebe Hill Village Shopping Center, providing them with a firsthand glimpse into its operations before heading back to the school for a presentation on the jobs created in the creation of Glebe Hill Village and getting “job ready”.

As a result of this engagement, a total of 16 students are now presented with a unique opportunity to be placed in a work experience program at our Center in the upcoming weeks. This has been made possible by the collaboration with the Beacon Foundation and the programs they run.

For these students, this endeavor marks an excellent occasion to acquire work skills and equip themselves for the challenges of the real professional world. We extend our appreciation to the generous retailers within Glebe Hill Village, who have willingly volunteered to guide and mentor these students – their dedication to imparting new skills and knowledge is great to see.
